Belly Dancing Classes Norfolk, United Kingdom - For Beginners.
My belly dancing class is at Kelling Studios, Kelling Estate, which is on the other side of Holt. Its a gorgeous light and airy purpose-built studio with mirrors and underfloor heating!
I issue you with a "Term Times sheet" when you start. Please keep this in a safe place (your Diary?) and refer to it each week, as I do sometimes take the odd week off for various reasons, or sometimes the room may be unavailable, and I don't want anyone turning up and feeling disappointed if I'm not there!
A word about payment:
Although you can pay as you go on a weekly basis for £6, I have introduced the opportunity to buy a block of 10 consecutive classes. At the beautiful mirrored hall at Kelling this will be £46. This still means that as long as you make 8 out of the 10 consecutive classes, you are still in pocket. Paying this way is a choice, not an obligation, but I urge you to consider it as it shows commitment and helps me to budget.
Unlike other teachers in the area, who insist that everyone pays in advance per term, I have given you the chance to pay-as-you-go for your belly dancing classes. I know that many ladies resent having to pay for a whole term up front, or are unable to, because "life gets in the way" such as work commitments, children, school, illness, shift work, whatever.
However, I hope this does not mean that because you pay-as-you-go, you only come once in a blue moon! If you have a good reason not to come to class, such as illness, work or prior commitments, then fair enough, but please don't abuse this flexible approach by only turning up "when you feel like it" or "when your mate's coming". You are only cheating yourself if you fall behind in your dancing just because it was a bit chilly out! If the weather is severe enough to mean that I have to cancel it at short notice, I will try to contact you: that is why it is so handy for me to have your email address, in case I have to tell you something.
I need consistent numbers and also some degree of progression for the students, so if a person only comes two or three times in a term they will have to catch up with the rest who have been progressing step by step. Having said that, this is belly dancing for beginners, and it takes quite a while for most people to become "improvers." New beginners are welcome to join at any time as the basic moves will be taught over and again in different ways so that they get right into your hips!
Directions:
Kelling Studio:
On the A149 at Kelling, turn inland (right from Holt, left from Sheringham) onto The Street. (There is a small one-storey Church on the corner where you turn) Proceed past the houses to the fields and watch out for "Kelling Estate" and "Kelling Studio" signs on the left. Turn into the farmyard here, then turn right straight ahead. Park on the gravel outside the studio (not in the Courtyard). Also accessible from the A148 in the opposite direction (turning right into the Estate) via Bridge Road, but there is a wind-y bridge which is quite narrow that way, so we try to approach via the coast road from Sheringham/Cromer end.
